It's that feeling you get when the Fall season has barely arrived and your favorite store is already selling holiday items. It's a feeling of subtle shock mixed in with a dash of excitement, angst, and pressure. Think about that feeling and then triple it as you imagine how busy the end of the year is for those who are not only parents, but also business owning parents or entrepreneurs.

What better time of year is there to share 4 self-care basics for a busy 4th quarter? These basics serve as daily helpful reminders for a business-owning Blossom Spot alumna, Delphine Mauroit. Read on about what helps keep this mother of 3 (including one adorable set of twins!) grounded:

  • Get some help at work and with the kids even if it is an expense. You need help and this will help you think more clearly and be more efficient in your business and in your family life.

  • As exhausting as it sounds, don't forget your social life. I feel going out brings you more energy, allows you to share and talk, and opens your mind onto others things (other than what is happening at home).

  • I always keep in mind that everything can change and nothing is guaranteed in life. Try to not complain, find solutions and enjoy every minute of those beautiful kids who will grow very fast!! :-)

  • Sleep is the key. If you had a bad or short night, have a nap or close your eyes for 5 minutes when you can :-) It will help!

Chances are that you practice some of these as part of your self-care routine already. Sometimes a little reminder goes a long way so keep these pinned up and visible during the end of the year and beyond!
